The public function of the Community Music Studio is to serve the community of the greater metro Atlanta area, through a series of music programs aimed to educate, mentor, inspire, heal, enrich, promote, expose and encourage multidisciplinary work with other artistic disciplines; as well as with organizations and individuals committed towards social and economic justice.
We serve because we strongly believe that art is a powerful agent for social change and it can articulate many different issues in ways that allow us to unpack and simplify what they mean.
The Community Music Studio caters its services to a broad multi-cultural and inter-generational community. We provide measurable outcomes to track the impact of our work in tangible ways and welcome the participation of those we serve by including them in the decision making process of our programs and their evaluations.
